Charity | Claremont High School

Each year during enrichment week the school organises a Charity Day. The school and local community raises money for a number of local and national charities including St Luke’s Hospice, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Grove Park School, The National Institute for the Blind and Cancer research.
There are stalls for food, gifts, lucky dip, tombola, bouncy castles, face painting, karaoke, computer games and many other activities including the CHSP, St Luke’s Hospice and GOSH stalls.

Last year the school raised nearly £5000 on the day. There are many other fund raising events that occur during the course of the year either as a whole school event or individual/small group activities. These include former students raising funds for an expedition to the Arctic to research climate change and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Childreach International.

Every year the school supports Children in Need and the Red Nose appeal every other year. Speakers attend College and Year assemblies to raise awareness prior to events such as Jeans for Genes, Wear it Pink and Dance for Life.
Community Matters – the Pupils, their Parents/Carers and the Staff are very supportive and have an increasing awareness and empathy of the needs of others. Thank you for everyone’s continued support and generosity.
