IT/ICT Facility Usage Rules
Passwords are the sole responsibility of the user and must not be disclosed to other persons for any reason. Passwords should be regarded as personal property. A user is responsible for all actions carried out on the network with their password.
No multiple logons to the network by students or staff are allowed for any reason. Users are only authorised to logon to one workstation at a time
The use of a password not belonging to the user shall be treated as an abuse of IT/ICT facilities.
Attempts to access unauthorised areas of the network shall be treated as an abuse of IT/ICT facilities.
Attempts to install or run unauthorised software on workstations or servers shall be treated as an abuse of IT/ICT facilities.
Attempts to alter the configuration of workstations or servers shall be treated as an abuse of IT/ICT facilities.
Using the school e-mail system to send unsolicited, and, or abusive messages shall be treated as an abuse of IT/ICT facilities.
Attempts to access unsuitable web sites through the school's Internet connection shall be treated as an abuse of IT/ICT facilities.
Violations of the above rules will result in a temporary or permanent ban from the network.
Additional disciplinary action may be added in line with existing practice on inappropriate language or behaviour.
When applicable, police or local authorities may be involved.
