
Student Council | Claremont High School Student Council Section
NEWS:
During the end of the last academic year the School Council:
Were consulted about the design of the new school entrance. Members took part in a mind mapping session with the architect and presented a shortlist of their favourite ideas to Senior Management.
Negotiated a new summer school uniform and have given an assembly this term about this.
This year the School Council have:
Attended the School Council Seminar on 'The Considerations in the use of Alcohol and Drugs' at the House of Commons in November.
Attended and took part in workshops at The Brent Anti Bullying Launch in November.
Designed and made posters for our new dining hall promoting mixture of food related facts as well as gentle reminders about manners and the environment.
The School Council are currently working on:
A new recycling scheme to involve paper as well plastic bottles
Raising awareness of different types of bullying, with particular focus on language
A review of school meals with a particular focus on pricing (this was an issue brought to our attention by Claremont pupils!)
