GCSE Results 2023
Today saw another terrific set of GCSE results for Claremont High School in Kenton, with students achieving a total of 769 grades 7 to 9.
Headteacher Ms Hyde-Boughey said, ‘I’m delighted for our students, who’ve worked with real determination, and the whole school is incredibly proud of them.’ Among the high achievers were Osian Edwards, aged 16, who got seven grade 9s in total, including Maths, Further Maths and Physics. ‘I feel absolutely amazing!’ he said having just opened his results. Manav Bhatt, also 16, got grade 9s in English Literature and Language, Biology, Physics, Geography and DT. ‘During revision I felt like giving up,’ admits Manav, ‘but now I realise that all my hard work was worth it.’ Krisha Panchal, 16, got grade 9s in English Literature, Biology and Geography and said she felt ‘so relieved’. And Jiya Bakrania, 16, got a grade 9 in Maths and eight grade 8s in other subjects. ‘I feel proud of my results, knowing my hard work paid off,’ she said afterwards.
‘At Claremont we pride ourselves on excellence, aspiration and perseverance,’ said Ms Hyde-Boughey, ‘and these students have certainly demonstrated that. We wish them all the very best for the next steps in their exciting journeys.
