'Tis the season...
It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Claremont
For the past few weeks, the foyer and classrooms at Claremont High School have glittered and glowed with tinsel and fairy lights, and the festive feeling has been building to the end of term with Christmas lunches and fun activities.
One highlight was ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ on 7th December - a perennial favourite of the school calendar, and a terrific way to raise money for charity. Staff and students alike rummaged in their wardrobes to don their very best winter woollies, and there were many snowmen and Santas on display!
Students in Year 11 were not to be outdone by their younger peers, some even dressing in full reindeer costumes – antlers, red noses and all. Not only was a lot of fun had, but a total of £2,308 was collected for Save the Children. Now that’s something to cheer everyone this season... ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’
