We’ve already said goodbye

Claremont students say a fond farewell
Tuesday 5th May 2026 was an emotional day at Claremont High School, as the Year 11 and 13 students said their goodbyes to one another and their teachers after several long years at the school.
Leavers’ Assemblies took place in both the morning and afternoon, featuring all the usual elements: speeches, subject and form awards, plus various farewell videos and photo montages. There were smiles, tears and laughter all round.
And, of course, there was the traditional shirt signing – messages of friendship, good luck and hope for the future.
‘The Leavers’ Assemblies were a fitting and often emotional opportunity to celebrate everything our Year 11 and 13 students have achieved during their time at Claremont,’ reflected Dr Nicolauo, Head of Sixth-Form. ‘It was a privilege to recognise their commitment, resilience and growth, and to wish them every success as they move on to the next stage of their journeys.’
‘The Year 11 Leavers’ Assembly was a lovely event, which captured some of the students’ fondest memories from the biggest chapter in their lives so far,’ added Ms Wardle and Mr Hassan, Heads of Year 11. ‘The pupils put a lot of work into the day, with creative videos and pictures throughout. Lots of certificates were handed out and speeches made from all their closest teachers. Once again, we wish the year group the very best in their future endeavours.’
The Class of ’26 are on their way!
