Performing Arts | Performing Arts Specialism

In September 2001 Claremont High School was officially designated as a Specialist School in the Performing Arts – Music, Drama and Dance, and re-designated in 2006. The development of the Visual Arts is also seen as an important part of the process of extending opportunity to students who have an interest or aptitude in the Arts. Claremont receives enhanced funding so that it can offer additional opportunities for students in these curriculum areas. The extra funding enables the school to provide improved facilities and additional staff which benefit the whole school community. The Arts Hall is a significant new resource; with technical support and additional teaching staff. The Arts continue to develop and flourish and Claremont students have more opportunities than ever before to participate in Arts-related activities such as Music, Drama and Dance.
